The United States of AmericaThe United States shares the worlds longest undefended border with Canada. Of course a good portion of that border is with the Province of British Columbia with Washington State being the closest to Vancouver. Washington is a very popular destination for ordinary Vancouver residents. Bellingham is in particular a favourite stopping point. Every winter my folks like to pack up their RV ( that's recreational vehicle but maybe you call that a Carvan where you live ) and head down to the United States for an extended vacation. They are usually there for at least a couple of months soaking up the sun in some of the lower states and generally enjoying American hospitality.
